My first Pachira

Today, I got this shoot from Tokyo-hands shop in Shinjuku. All the plants that I had before ended up succumbed. This time, I am going to try my best to take care of this Pachira. I am going to follow the instruction of the stuff in the shop, which is  spraying water once a week and putting it under the sunshine every morning. I hope it can be with me for a long time.

Tokyo’s radiation level

This is the best chart I have found so far from the NHK website

I was outside  when the peak level of the radiation happens 🙁
according to the chart.. it’s definitely getting better now. This radiation accident seems like a bit overblown. It was quite scary on 15th when the spark happened. I could not image how much radioactive stuff was leaked near the plant.

Although the current radiative level in Tokyo is not too worrying, Tokyo Electric has poorly handled this accident, which caused hundreds of thousands foreigners flee away from the country. It’s time for the Japanese government to review its country’s emergency policy.

I surivived in the 5th biggest earthquake in history

Friends, I am still alive.!  I thought I would be buried in the office today.

All the train are stopped and I am walking home now. Everyone is walking on the street, and all cars on the road stuck in the traffic jam. This is a scene I probably won’t be able to see again in my life!

Don’t know what is the impact on the north Japan, which is much more close to the epicenter ..

Apart from the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers, this is the biggest event so far I have experienced.

Breakthrough of my Snowboarding Skills

It’s my third year doing snowboarding in Japan, and it becomes much fun after you can balance your body not falling over. Occasionally, even if you fall over, it does not hurt so much anymore.
Japan is one of the best countries for snowboarding lovers, where there is a load of snowboarding resorts, with easy access from Tokyo. The temperature on these moutains usually is not too low so you can enjoy the sport, not worrying too much about the cold weather.

Apple Fan

Buying apple products is just like take marijuana. it draws you to buy another one, the another one even you think it’s not necessary or not quite sure what you really need for that iPhone 3GS while you already have the iPhone 3G. Even you think Ipad is just a *bigger* iPod? What’s wrong with my brain and what magic apple uses to make me blind?

Moving out Of Ebisu

Having been living in Ebisu for almost 3 years, I decided to move to a little bit further from the downtown so that I can choose an bigger apartment with the same cost.

Ebisu is a really nice area with lots of restaurants, bars and  cafes, I really enjoyed living there.

Lots of good memories and first time.

I hope one day I can come back and live there again.

Okinawa in winter

First trip to okinawa is in winter. Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy, so I could not get some good photos of the sea. However, the Shisa (シーサー), the traditional Ryukyuan decoration, can be seen everywhere. Shisa is believed to protect from evils in Okinawa. Shisa to me, it’s more like a smaller version of the Chinese guardian lions. Some photos that I am happy with are here.

France vacation

Bonjour !
I am back from France. It was a great holiday – yummy food, spectacular views and lovely weather. The Olive there is amazingly tasty! I start eating Olive almost every week after I come back!

Friendly people, a surprise to some people. Yes the people I met in France are very friendly despite that they try to teach you how to speak French from time to time, something I would love to do at certain point in the future.

I am absolutely astonished by the beauty of the nature in France. I have never seen such a blue sky in my life. (Hey, please don’t laugh, I am from China).

I took this picture below in South France. This photos is not edited by any software. It is almost hard to believe the sky can be so blue for people like me from China.

The Blue Sky in France

Almost everything is *old* in France. Oh, Maybe I shall use the word Vintage. Historical buildings and museums are well preserved. I stayed one night at my friend’s house that was built about 200 years ago. The owner of the house is a young couple, which I can’t imagine in China.

People live in totally different lifestyles compared to the ones here in Tokyo. We went to forests to hunt a mushroom for dinner! We went to climb a mountain that has no route.

I saved my friend Anthony s life there, by the way, which he never admit.

I would like to really thank to my friend Steve. He took us to a lot places with his car. The Castle, the wine, the blue sky. It’s the best holiday for me so far!

Bonne nuit!
